Mid-semester crazies
We passed the halfway point for enrichment - Four weeks left! That also mean the mid-semester crazies have started. All the kids are comfortable with one another and with you as their teacher/helper - crazy behavior time. Teachers, please be sure to address any parents directly with any poor behavior. I know that isn't comfortable but us parents do want to know if we need to have conversations and address any issues. Parent contact info should be on the roster you received at the beginning of the semester. There is also a member list (on the website found under the "More" tab, and then "documents" - it's not current for this year yet but you'll likely find most of the families on there.)
And don't be scared to be stern with the kids - they're all good kids - but they're still kids whose behavior sometimes needs addressing. (Older kids - just make them do push-ups - lots of them!)
No specific behavior was reported - to my knowledge - but just general craziness. My family had the "opportunity" to have behavior discussions at dinner tonight.
