Parent Jobs
Hi! Enrichment Registration opens up to everyone tomorrow. Please remember to fill out the Parent Jobs form. There is a space at the bottom for comments. PLEASE leave comments - If you're hoping to be a classroom helper - is there a specific class or grade level you feel comfortable with? Would you rather have a more permanent job (nursery, classroom helper, study hall) rather than one where you might be shuffled as needs come up (hall monitor, door monitor, floater/sub).
Keep in mind the order of priority when I look through the list will be Nursery and classroom helpers - those spots NEED to be filled. We will need available substitutes this semester, so door monitor and hall monitors may be asked to fill in in a class or the nursery as the semester unravels.
Last semester only one enrichment committee member taught classes (Sarah Dean) they rest of us filled in where needed throughout the day. This semester, however, most of the committee is teaching classes so we'll be less available to jump in. Substitutes will be even more important this semester than last. I know it's not everyone's favorite job - but it is a joy to get to know the kids in the various classes and it's a fun sample of what you might enjoy teaching next year. It's also important that parents stay home when they or their kids are sick - and having an abundance of subs makes that more likely.
