11 classes only!??
I've only had 11 submissions for enrichment classes so far. There are plenty of spots left that need to be filled. Preschool has two hours left if you were thinking about teaching a preschool class. Feel free to give me a call if you have any questions - 262-308-5413. WE need classes for all ages, boys and girls!

That's so great! If I were going to teach a Spanish class to younger kids, I would make each class a theme and focus on vocabulary. For example, week one could be family. I would bring in construction paper and crayons and have them draw their family. Then, I would teach them the Spanish words for mom, dad, brother, sister, etc. Maybe the second week, I would focus on food. I would bring in coloring sheets of different foods and then teach the kids how to say those foods in Spanish. At some point I would probably teach the alphabet too, since it has some differences from English. Maybe that could even be week one so that you could establish that the letters sound differently in Spanish than in English. I would maybe try to find story books that are in English and Spanish and read them out loud to the kids. I would teach Spanish versions of songs they may know- Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes, for example. If there was enough time throughout the semester, I might bring in a map or globe and show the kids which countries speak Spanish as the first language and talk about their cultures. I hope these ideas help! I think you would do an awesome job so please be encouraged! 🙂🙂🙂
