I'm just curious...

We started officially Homeschooling 4 years ago, 4th grade, and joined RAHS that first year. We came to RAHS seeking (and very much finding) all of the above.
My husband is a Christian and a schoolteacher, so he was specifically only interested in a Christian-based environment for both our son's academic education and my spiritual education. The community, fellowship and friends that I have been supported by in RAHS have been invaluable, for my spiritual growth and mental health as much as for our homeschool journey
He also had some very strict (classroom-like) ideas about what homeschool should look like in our home originally. I, on the other hand, was ready for a very eclectic, Unschool / Forest school / Charolette Mason-like blend of homeschool that would support my kiddos easily bored, exceptional mind and our very ADHD household. I needed like-minded families for my own reassurances but also to show my husband it was going to be successful. The Enrichment program was the perfect fit for what we wanted.
I was seeking community and group activities for Liam. As an only child, the only grandchild on both sides of the family and living in a neighborhood that has zero kids for a 3-block radius, I knew we needed to be very intentional about strewing lots of good people in his life that he might form strong bonds with and find solid friendships. We were already doing ALL the things in the greater Milwaukee area. The choice of driving through thick traffic to get to meetings in Milwaukee do lots of the activities we were already doing on a regular or driving for the same amount of time to get into a community that would offer new experiences out of the city was also a highlight.
We LOVE RAHS!
