Neurodivergence, Trauma and Mental Health in Homeschoolers Part 2. The first meeting was a total blessing from the Lord and we had a remarkable time of testimony, resource sharing and encouragement. We've got some speakers lined up already, but are open to more. If you have an interest along these lines and would like to share, please reach out to Jennifer Morin!
RSVP for both the Simple Supper and Childcare.
We will again have a simple supper that you need to RSVP for (we can take payment at enrichment) and childcare that needs to be RSVPd for. Please look for those posts coming soon on the Groups page.
Enrichment
The Enrichment Program is an exclusive benefit available to RAHS member families offering fun classes for students preschool aged through 12th grade. It is not a drop-off program; rather it’s an all-hands-on deck collaboration designed to offer social and educational opportunities to complement homeschooling not to replace it.
The registration fees associated with the Enrichment program are separate and in addition to RAHS membership fees. Fees for enrichment are two-part and due each session, a per family registration fee and a per class fee. The family registration fee is fixed but the class fees are set by the teacher. Teachers are encouraged to set fees that are as close to or equal to their expense for running the class. As a 501c3, teachers are required to turn in all receipts for class costs - which should be equal to or greater than the amount received in fees for the class.
Every class is designed and taught by volunteer RAHS members or member sponsored guests. Enrichment itself is run by a committee of RAHS volunteers who, prior to each semester, solicit class submissions, set the calendar, create a course packet with course descriptions, and facilitate registration activities including collecting fees and forms.
Classes run for 9 weeks on Thursday afternoons. We meet for Winter and Fall sessions. The Fall session runs September through November and the Winter session is January/February through April. Children must be 3 and potty trained to join preschool, and 5 for kindergarten by September 1st to participate in Fall classes or by January 1st to participate in Winter classes.
Members can access additional information once they complete their forms and fees and are grated access to the RAHS site.
