Statement of Faith

1. We believe the Bible is the infallible, inerrant Word of God, and it is the supreme and final authority for all matters of faith and life. (Isaiah 28:13, John 17:17, 2 Timothy 3:16-17)
2. We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (Genesis 1:1, Deuteronomy 6:4, Matthew 28:19)
3. We believe in the perfect deity and perfect humanity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His bodily resurrection, His ascension, and His bodily return in power and glory. (Isaiah 7:14, Micah 5:2, Matthew 1:23)
4. We believe that man was created in the image of God but chose to sin and is therefore lost and only those who put their faith in Jesus Christ alone are saved. (Romans 3:23, 5:8, Ephesians 2:1-3, 2:8-9, Titus 3:5)
5. We believe that salvation is the gift of God brought to man by grace and is received by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ whose substitutionary death on the cross paid the penalty for man’s sin through His shed blood. (John 5:24, Romans 10:9-10, 2 Corinthians 5:21, Ephesians 2:8-9)
6. We believe that the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to convict men of their sin, indwell, guide, instruct and empower the believer for godly living and service. (John 14:16-17, 16:8-11, Romans 8:26)
7. We believe in the spiritual unity of believers through our common faith in Jesus Christ. (Romans 15:5-6)
8. We believe that God created man and that He created them male and female. As such He created them different so as to complement and complete each other. We believe gender/sex to be immutable. (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6, Romans 1:18-32)
9. We believe that marriage is exclusively the legal union of one genetic male and one genetic female sanctioned by the state and evidenced by a marriage ceremony. God instituted monogamous marriage between male and female as the foundation of the family and the basic structure of human society. (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6, Galatians 5:19-21, Ephesians 5:3-7, 1 Corinthians 6:9-11, 6:18-20, 7:1-3, 7:8-9, 1Timothy 1:9-11)
