Fall Registration Open @ Gateway Technical College

Greetings RAHS families,

Did you know that as a homeschooling family your high school student can earn dual enrollment at Gateway Technical College while completing their Jr. and Sr. year at home? Coursework can be completed at the Racine or Kenosha campus in person or online. If you qualify there are also opportunities for FREE college tuition!

Gateway has added relatively new Associate of Arts (AA) and Associate in Science (AS) degree programs that can be started as soon as the beginning of the Jr. year. A student completing their Sophomore year of high school will need to take a placement test at Gateway to waive the Jr. year completion requirement. They didn't need a transcript from me for my student who will be a Jr. in the fall, they just need her to test.

Currently the $30 fees for application is waived for high school students and the testing…

4/20 Monthly Meeting in B60-63 @6:00pm

Good Morning RAHS families! Grace has an event tonight that needed the commons and we were able to snag some nice accommodations in B60-63 - the rooms off the first left-hand hallway when you come into the church.

I've got some fun shenanigans planned, an update on nominations for the Board next year, and for a touch of drama will ask us to re-consider what we might understand about learning styles, introduce what might be new teaching methods and suggest some good strategies for picking the right curriculum for you and your house. I've got my researcher hat full on and hope you benefit from my geekery!

Treats will be provided- feel free to bring something to share too!

p.s. we will have a few teens coming if you need childcare- but feel free to ping us here to let us know if you are brining your kiddo! :)
