USA Geography class
Good morning! I want to share an update and "homework" request.
First, the 5 children in the USA Geography class have been FANTASTIC! We have had fun learning about our country, our own amazing home state of Wisconsin, and about each other's interests as it links to Geography/history/USA facts.
This past week we looked at the smaller north east states and I challenged the children to memorize the 10 states from Maine to Maryland.
"Maine, New Hampshire, plus Vermont,
Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut,
New York, New Jersey, Delaware,
then Maryland!" I encourage your child to share the cut and paste page we made of these states and practice reciting the states. I have attached my copy in case you cannot locate your child's. Maryland is one of my new favorite states! Ask your child about it!
This week we will learn about Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Virginia, Kentucky, Tennessee, Alabama, and Mississippi.

Nora loves your class and is sad to miss it this week. I’m sure she told you her Papa (my Dad) lives in Maryland!
