Join us April 21st and 22nd for a special lecture series: “Can Science and Christianity Agree?” Brought to us by Dr. H.E. Buddy Payne. Friday and Saturday Sessions held at UW Parkside Friday lecture, 7PM: “Science and Christianity: Conflict or Coherence?” The common worldview of the 20th Century was that science and religion are in conflict; that progress in science ruled out belief in God as antiquated and unnecessary. This lecture declares that the scientific discoveries of the last 75 years have only strengthened the ancient proclamation that "The heavens declare the glory of God!" - The Argument from Design. Saturday Lecture,5PM: The Great Designer: Evidence from the Chemistry of Living Things” This lecture focuses on the discoveries, over the last 75 years, of the amazing complexity of even the simplest forms of living things, of life at the biochemical level. The single cell contains massive amounts of information being used to produce and maintain an untold number of molecular machines and complex processes that all speak to Intelligent Design. The Saturday 7pm lecture will be “The Immune System: A Testimony to Design” This lecture focuses on scientific discoveries about the human body over the last century that were unknown to Darwin when he wrote The Origin of Species, with a special emphasis on how the immune system with all its complexities points to Intelligent Design.
