Kenosha Kingfish Reading Program
Greetings RAHS friends!!! It's time again to sign up for the Kenosha Kingfish Reading Program and start logging your reading hours! Here's how it works:
It's open to all RAHS youth from Kindergarten to Senior. Even if your child isn't a strong reader, time spent reading to them also counts.
Please give me the names of each child in your family who's participating in this thread, so I have 1 place to look. I need a head count for prizes and will need full names when it comes time to order tickets.
Please bear with me/us as the program is set up for a traditional classroom setting, but they graciously allow our group to participate. YOU set the reading goals for your children for the remainder of January and all of February. There's fun calendars to download and print if you want to use them to log your time. There's also a certificate of completion you can fill out and print if you want to. *I just got this information yesterday, so don't feel frazzled that the calendars start on January 1st. Just make the most of the remainder of January.
It's on the honor system. If you sign up, I'm expecting your kids to reach the goals you've set for them & am relaying our participation numbers accordingly. I should receive prizes in the next few weeks to hand out. As soon as I get them, I will have them available by family at Enrichment. If you're not participating in Enrichment, I'll have them with me at any other RAHS functions within that time frame or we can work something out.
As a grand finale, RAHS Night at the Kenosha Kingfish Baseball Game will be Tuesday May 31st at 6:05!!! Each child who participates will receive 2 FREE tickets to this game. So if you have 2 kids reading, your family will get 4 free tickets. If you need additional tickets, you can order them for a discounted rate of $9. Tickets will be at WILL CALL, so please plan accordingly. I know it's a way out there, but please put May31st on your calendar.
