FabLab 3D Printing Certification
RAHS Friends, I am giving you a heads up on this upcoming workshop before I post it to the school at home community tomorrow.
NC3 Certification is where the participants go through an online book together and walk through the hands-on steps of 3D printing. Then the class will take an open book test for the certification. It's not meant to be high pressure, but they will want to pay attention. This is not the most "fun" workshop, but the certification is nice to put on their transcript. This also helps solidify their ability to come in & use the FabLab for their own ideas during open lab times.
I need to give the instructor a list of names (first & last), along with their email address so that he can register them with NC3. Participants will need to log in to their email to verify it with NC3 & create a password. Please talk that over with your kids beforehand if email & passwords are still new to them.
*We have done several beginner's workshops this year. This will be the last beginner appropriate workshop for a while for this age group. Our goal is to progress onto the next skills & it will be hard for someone new to just jump in.

Wow! What a response I've received. There were 20 who reached out for the 16 spots.
I spoke with John & we're letting all 20 come. Yay! (John & I both have problems saying "no" & sincerely want to include everyone we can.)
This means that there will need to be 4 who buddy up with someone else, read along together & then take turns with the test. I'm trusting we can make that work. 🙂
