FabLab Pumpkin Carving
Hi Friends! Gateway College's FabLab is having a free family event this Wednesday evening from 4pm-8pm. Come & go as you please. Bring your own pumpkin & use the FabLabs machines to make fun creations. In years past people went silly, scary, or just Fall themed. They had the laser engraver going & 3-D printed add-ons. *I don't know if they're doing the exact same things or changing it up.

There's potential that we might have some formal opportunities for our kids at the FabLab in the future. If/when that happens, it will likely cost something for our kids to attend. This open house event can be a fun & affordable way to see what the FabLab has to offer. 🙂
A few of our guys started taking a course at the FabLab yesterday. They'll be learning to use the 3-D printers, CNC router, vinyl cutter, laser engraver, etc. If this sounds interesting & you'd like to check it out, this open house family night is a great opportunity. It's free to come other than bringing your own pumpkins. The pumpkin decorating will indeed be much like in years past. They have 3-D printed appendages to use or you can laser engrave your chosen image onto a medium sized pumpkin.
