Maker Day is fast approaching!

• Thursday, June 16th

• 10am to 5pm

• $30

• 12 spots

• Gateway College's iMet Campus

2320 Renaissance Blvd

• Geared towards middle & high school, with some flexibility. Adults are welcome too!

• There will be some teaching, specifically on the CNC Router because the kids will be making simple slot furniture....yes, furniture.

• Bring a lunch!!!

• The 2nd half of the day is free to make what you want on the lab's machines, specifically the 3D printers & laser engravers.

• Get the most out of your time & $30:

- Come with ideas of what you want to make. Websites like Thingiverse & Pinterest can help. Once you've got a few ideas, make sure you're able to pull it up in the lab. Thumb drives, websites, email, etc.

- Check out Tinkercad. It's a free web-based program for 3D printing. Being familiar with the interface will help those who haven't 3D printed before.

- Vectr is a free web-based design program they can use with the lasers or cnc router. Again, it will help save time if they're familiar with the interface.

* Parents, please let me know if you register for this. We always have a parent chaperone who stays, usually myself. It would be great if we could take shifts for such a long session.
