Sword casting class
Interest post - I am working out details still (he doesn’t know his schedule yet) to host a sword casting class In September. See link for details on the class.
We took a class from him 3ish years ago and he is absolutely fantastic. Incredibly engaging and interactive, passionate about what he does.
First part of the class is educational about the history of swords and sword materials. Then you get to pick a sword shape and make a sand cast/mold. He pours in the melted aluminum while the class watches. He opens the casts and then adult volunteers help polish them. Then you get to pick a leather strap for the handle.
All ages welcome, cost is $100* per SWORD made and extra kids and parents are more than welcome to come observe and help. My kids were about 7 and 9 and my younger kids (including a toddler) came with. There were also adults with no kids who made swords as well. ( *current sword price, will confirm this year is the same once date is finalized)
I would host the aluminum sword class.
Comment below to stay informed, on details as I get them :)

He doesn’t allow anyone to do their own pouring (even adults) but likely they could help polish :)
