Park Day Info. for 2025

This is long but please read to the end. Your input is requested regarding one of the parks.

In putting together this years list of parks I have been looking for parks that are great for our young ones but also offer a good environment for our older children who typically might not want to come due to a lack of things to do. Here is the list I think best fits that goal.

Campus Park: 8500 Campus Drive Mt. Pleasant

1st, 3rd and 5th Thursday’s from 10am-3pm.

Campus Park has become a RAHS favorite! It has a great playground, a splash pad, tennis/pickle ball courts, basketball courts, plenty of football or soccer space, pavilions and restrooms. Great for the younger and older kiddos.

Kenosha Dream Playground: 2820 14th Ave. Kenosha

2nd Thursday from 10am-3pm

Another RAHS favorite. The Kenosha Dream Park is handicap accessible and has a wonderful fenced in playground with seating both inside the playground and at tables under the pavilion. There is a large grass space where older children could play yard games or even use the tables under the pavilion for games.

A POTENTIAL NEW PARK

Oak Creek Skate Park: 1311 E Drexel Ave Oak Creek

4th Thursday from 10am-3pm

This park has a skate park, a pavilion with picnic tables and plenty of space for sack chairs. This park has a good amount of playground equipment, a skate board park, soccer field with nets, paved walking or biking paths, and plenty of space for flying kites. A great place for both older kiddos and the younger ones. THE NEGATIVE IS THE BATHROOM This park only has port-a-potty toilets, they were well kept last year. Do the port-a-potties rule this park out?

My question to all of you is, do we want to give the Oak Creek Skate Park a try or take it off the list now?

IF YOU KNOW OF A GOOD PARK I’M MISSING PLEASE LET ME KNOW. I’M VERY OPEN TO SUGGESTIONS.

Probably wouldn't do the port a potty one due to my 3yr old absolutely refusing to use them. She would probably pee her pants before she'd go on one 😔🤷 but that doesn't mean others wouldn't enjoy that park!
