What's Happening in February
Greetings Fellow RAHS families!
Can you believe that this is the last week of January? Wow! For my family and I this month has flown by, and by looking at my calendar, February is going to be even swifter. Below is a highlight of what is coming up in February at RAHS and you are sure to ❤️ what we have planned!
❤️ Enrichment begins this Thursday.
* Please check the packet again or your e-mail and be prepared to bring any supplies that the teacher requested (ah hem, One Act need PENCILS for every class!)
* If you are a late registrant please bring cash or check to pay for the class or your registration fees.
* AND for Everyone, please consider joining me as we begin collecting funds to sponsor a window at Calvary Memorial. The collection box will be at the front desk. Checks can be made out to RAHS with “window” in the memo line. Cash can be dumped into the box! Our goal is $1,200!!
* Teachers, it’s never too early to bring receipts for your class expenses. Allie will have a special surprise for those of you who turn them in in the first two weeks. 😊 (trust me, it’s a surprise- at this point to her as well!)
❤️ The Valentine’s Skate is a posted Event in Groups. Please let us know if you are coming. We will again have a Valentine’s Day Box competition, split into age-appropriate groups. Deb Laverty would greatly appreciate volunteers to check kids in and to judge!
❤️ Our February Monthly Meeting topic will be Part 2 of the
Neurodivergence, Trauma and Mental Health in Homeschoolers. The first meeting was a total blessing from the Lord and we had a remarkable time of testimony, resource sharing and encouragement.
* We’ve got some speakers lined up already but are open to more. If you have an interest along these lines and would like to share, please reach out to me!
* RSVP for both the Simple Supper and Childcare.
i. We will again have a simple supper that you need to RSVP for (we can take payment at enrichment) and childcare that needs to be RSVPd for. Please look for those posts coming soon on the Groups page.
❤️Graduation Planning needs to start soon. We really need a member to chair the graduation committee. I’m unable to do it because of an extended recovery time following surgery I’ve scheduled at the end of February.
* I have a very very very well created binder with step-by-step instructions to help this planning process run smoothly. The committee is ideally made up of the families of the graduates, and a few other members of RAHS.
* If you have a graduate for the end of the year, please post on the groups post that I’ll create so we can begin to get numbers.
Finally, we are aware that there are issues with WIX sending message notifications. Please send an e-mail to rahs.hsl@gmail.com if you are having issues. Jasmine is doing her best to work with WIX to resolve them but we don’t know unless you tell us. In the meantime, please check in at least every week to see what’s going on.
