For WI Homeschoolers file your PI-1206 9/19-10/15

If you are homeschooling according to Wisconsin law, Friday begins the window to submit your information to the state. Please visit the links below for all the necessary information. Virtual homeschoolers who are registered in a school should not submit this form.

Please note that the laws governing reporting for Homeschoolers parallel those required by the public school and we don't want to submit any earlier than the start date required by the schools. The window is the 3rd Friday in September to October 15th.

I tend to review the laws every year to make sure that I continue to fully understand my rights and responsibilities as a homeschooler. The Wisconsin Homeschooling Parents Association link is a very valuable tool in covering those issues as well as explaining when and how to submit your PI-1206.

I also recommend that you print a copy of your submission to keep for your records.

I believe when you are done homeschooling you would need to go into the system and make your homeschool head count zero. I have someone I can ask if you want. I am not sure how that works exactly.
