Can you cook a chicken?

If yes, then you can help a family out! I know this time of year is so busy and there are lots of (important!) forum posts, but one of our own is in need and we need to step up! In a previous post, I explained the situation of Joy Murphey, our RAHS Treasurer, and her family. The three of them are in need of meals for the next little bit to help life settle down after Nate's multiple seizures and other challenging circumstances.

The biggest hurdle is that the meals need to be absolutely corn free, and that's tough! Here are some ideas:

-Roast chicken, seasoned with butter and sea salt, with baked potatoes and salad

-Fried rice from scratch

-Shepherd's Pie: https://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/rachael-ray/30-minute-shepherds-pie-recipe-1913518, using basic, from scratch ingredients (check the cream cheese/sour cream and broth for corn-derivatives, or substitute water for broth)

-Italian Wonderpot: (NO citric acid in the canned tomatoes, use water instead of broth, shred block parmesan) https://www.budgetbytes.com/italian-wonderpot/

-Grilled cheese sandwiches (avoid pre-sliced cheese, check with Joy for bread brand, if necessary) with fruit and chips (no corn oil)

-Chicken noodle soup from scratch (check broth for ingredients, or make your own)

PLEASE SEE the original post, "Meals for the Murphey Family" for more details and a link to the TakeThemaMeal website, or search TakeThemaMeal.com for the last name Murphey and use the password: RAHS2

Thanks for serving, ladies!
