Food Drive for Veterans
I'll have the box for donations at enrichment today & the rest of the semester. If you're not familiar with Veterans Outreach of Wisconsin on Yout St., they have about a dozen tiny homes housing Veterans who were homeless. They have a fantastic program to get these people back on their feet & ongoing support to keep them stable. The VOW also has a pantry that's open to ANY Veteran & their immediate family who are facing food insecurity. The number of Veterans needing the pantry has increased greatly & the shelves are thin. Let's help!!!
Our RAHS family gave generously last week & the VOW was super thankful to receive our items. Additionally, there are occasional opportunities to serve there, especially during the day...where we might have some flexibility those in traditional shool/work settings don't usually have. Just throwing that out there! 😉
