October Monthly Meeting
Clear your schedule for this coming Monday, Oct. 16th @7 pm! We will have a guest speaker and you will not want to miss this. Anyone who loves Jesus and French fries is my future best friend. Leah did a fantastic job last night with a gospel-saturated message on loving our child.
Though I wasn't able to record it, if you ask anyone who was there to share a nugget, you'd get some good ones!
Some thoughts, tips, and takeaways:
**I'm not a better parent to my child than God is.
**Having an Imaginary child will negatively impact my real child.
**Letting go of my Imaginary child to love my real child is like God's love for me.
**Ask God to help you see your child as he/she is.
**Release some expectations that have no eternal importance.
**Learn your child's interests and spend some time doing things your child enjoys.
**Pray for wisdom and discernment.
**Remember that your child isn't a mini-version of you/your spouse.
**Humble yourself and learn from your child.
**Forgive your child. And, if necessary, grieve any loss (family changes/divorce, loss of a child, health, prodigal, etc)
Today, embrace your real child...I'm gonna go give mine a squeeze now. 🤗🙌
