Did you wake up tired? Counting down the hours until bedtime?!
I get it! And the last thing you'll wanna do at 6:45ish is get in your vehicle to go to a meeting. It's windy. It's cold. It's just one of those blah days, though I do see the sun peering out ๐ค๏ธ, yet leading into a blah evening. What sounds good to me is a cozy pair of jammies and socks and a warm fire.
Tonight's meeting is just for fun. I'll have some activities, and some prizes (I have no idea how I'll distribute them, but I'll have a plan by 7pm. ๐) AND I'm bringing some quality hot chocolate and some store-bought treats. ๐ because that's my life right now...๐
If you'd like to share your favorite cookies or Christmas treats, bring those along with a copy of your recipe if homemade. If you don't have time for that, it seriously is NOT an issue! Remember, tonight is just for fun!
I do hope you'll prayerfully consider coming out tonight. As hard as it can be to talk yourself into going, I know He will bless your efforts and time. How do I know that? Because it happens to me. Every. Single. Time. The years that I've not been on the board (because board members are technically supposed to attend ๐), I've sometimes had to make myself go. And I've skipped meetings. But, every time I've made it, I've always driven away encouraged and being reminded that I need this community and God uses me for someone else. Even if it's just to remind them that it's all worth it. Seems simple...
