Enrichment Sewing Classes - Next Year!
This year of enrichment was a lot of fun! I am already thinking ahead for classes for next year!
So far, I am planning on teaching another quilting class that will span both semesters as we learn how to sew a quilt from start to finish with a different pattern than this year. First semester will be piecing a quilt top together and the second semester will be learning how to quilt it. If you already have a finished quilt top, you can bring it second semester and learn how to quilt and bind it. Or join us both semester and learn a new pattern. You must hav me a knowledge of your machine and know how to sew a straight line.
I am also planning on teaching a beginner sewing class where we will be working on the basics of your machine as well as sewing a few smaller projects to build confidence in your sewing abilities! We will be sewing bookmarks, a zipper pouch, and either coasters or a small tote bag for library books. This is will be a fun class to teach! No experience needed!
Both classes will be offered for grades 6-12.
You’re welcome! This class is very beginner friendly for quilting. We go step by step together. There will be homework you’ll need to finish throughout the week, but it usually isn’t too bad. I will have cutting mats, rulers, and rotary cutters available but if you have some, please bring them. 😊 I’ll send all the information in the email.
