Greetings RAHS Members,

There are several key items of business I’d like to draw your attention to including details on Monday’s meeting, our RAHS officer elections, leadership needs, and 2026-27 dues with new optional payment plan. 

First, there is no monthly evening meeting at Grace on Monday.  Please plan on joining us for the end of the year party at Campus Park.  RSVP tonight if you haven’t already, details are posted. 

Monday is also election day! An electronic ballot will be available online, please take a moment to cast your vote for President Amanda Nelson, Treasurer Jamie Zaczek, Public Relations Admin Elyse Scheeler.  

We are still in need of a Website Administrator.  It’s not a difficult job but one that is a vital part of helping us respond to new member requests in a timely fashion, help set passwords for Enrichment sign-up and a variety of small do-able tasks.   Candidates must be able to agree to and sign the RAHS statement of faith and purpose, have homeschooled for 2 years, attend board meetings and monthly meetings.  Please see the bylaws for additional information specific to the position.  Jasmine Lozano and I are very available to answer questions and to be a support to anyone who steps into this role.   Please text me if you think that you have been called to serve next year!  (480)-531-2022

We’d also love a President Elect as well.  Serving as President Elect is an excellent opportunity to be well equipped to lead RAHS as President the following year.  Duties as President Elect are light and very do-able.  Don’t hesitate to reach out if you think this is something that you are called to do.  As an officer you need to have homeschooled for 3 years but the other requirements listed above are the same.  Please see the bylaws for specifics about the role.

Finally, after a thorough evaluation of our finances and rising operational costs, the Board has voted to increase dues.   Renewing/early bird membership invoices will go out June 1^st, and will be $65 due by the 30th.  Starting July 1^st membership fees will be $75.   Memberships must be renewed prior to Aug 1^st when we will remove your website access.  HOWEVER We are aware that this is quite an increase over last years dues and in the interest of making this jump accessible to all our families we will offer a payment plan at the $75 level.  Payment can be split into 3 equal $25 payments and must be paid in full before your family can register for enrichment in August.  Please let Heather or Jamie know that you would like to arrange payments so your access is not revoked Aug 1^st.  Please be aware that all invoices have an additional 3% processing fee.    The Board believes that this fee structure will not only shore up our accounts, but enable us to prevent another hike next year.  We also believe that RAHS membership is still a tremendous value and is well below what our peers are charging.
