Gauging interest: Enrichment class
Milwaukee Repertory theater AND Fireside Dinner Theater are both doing A Christmas Carol this year.
Is there any interest for a book study class during Fall enrichment?
I have a elementary level study that reads a condensed version of the story, has discussion and comprehension and goes over a few of the major themes. This would be a self contained class with no work outside of class
I also have a high school level study that uses the full text. I would use class for some discussion time, exploring major themes and biblical connections and read aloud. Students would need to complete reading assignments outside of class. There would also totally optional activities parents could assign that could fulfill a 1/4 credit literature class.
We already have tickets reserved for Nov. 30
Showing at Pabst theater in Milwaukee, $15 per ticket, a stage play version.
We could organize a student group (13 or more people) to Fireside Dinner Theater. This show would be a musical adaptation: Scrooge the Musical. This theater is a bit further away, and tickets include a meal before the show. Youth 14 and under are $58.29, 15 and old is $71.25.
Anyway, please comment if you would at all be interest in either a younger or older RAHS class this Fall term.

It would be a weekday matinee showing for these prices - so a M/T/W 10:30 arrival time in November. I don’t have anything reserved, so once I know if I have enough interest we can find a date that works for everyone
