March Monthly Meeting 3/16 Topic: Learning Styles
Greetings dear fellow members!
When my kids were younger this is the time of year I'd start thinking about what materials to cover next year. I thought that a family-style discussion on learning styles might be helpful before you get going down the curriculum path yourself.
The March meeting will discuss learning styles both for you and for your kids. I'm fortunate that my kids tend to learn in a way similar to me, but that's not always the case. This meeting should give us a nice opportunity to identify what those differences look like and be prepared to make adjustments or strengthen weaknesses.
I highly recommend that you take a moment to take the Apologia quiz for yourself. It's very well constructed. I did it with Lillian- my 13 year old while I was prepping, and she enjoyed recognizing her own learning style.
I'm looking forward to seeing you all there! I'm still recovering from surgery so I might need to duck out a bit early, but I anticipate that I'll be there to kick off the meeting!
