Situational Awareness and Self Defense - We have a date! RSVP
Situational Awareness and Self Defense Class (12 to adult) to be held at Calvary Memorial Church (where we do Enrichment).
Situational Awareness: Mon, March 13th 5:30-9:30pm:
Learn how to protect yourself; Color Code of Awareness; Conflict awareness, avoidance, de-escalation and negotiation; Body Language; Common Dangers; Basic Defense; Firearm Safety; Verbal Judo and Defending your faith.
Optional: bring a snack (cut fruit, veggies etc). to pass for tonight (just for the Monday portion since we aren't as active).
Self-Defense: Tues, March 14th 5:30-8:30pm:
This is a follow-up to the situational awareness class that will be more hands-on. It is suggested that you attend the situational awareness class to know more about what we will be talking about and doing in this class. We will be covering: proper punching and kicking techniques, stances, pressure points, pain compliance among other topics.
$20 donation per person total is suggested to cover instructor’s expenses. ($10/person/class or $25/family/class) Similar classes to this cost close to $70 each and are just a few hours. This instructor does a phenomenal job, however, this is a donation, so don't let the cost sway you.
You will receive a wealth of knowledge from both of these classes, but if only one fits in your schedule that's ok too.
This is being offered to RAHS first, but I do have another group interested in joining us so I do need approximate numbers so please RSVP how many will be coming below. Text or call me with any questions 262-308-5413.
I can only let in the doors those I know and the doors will be locked by 5:45pm. If you plan to attend but will be a smidge late let me know.

Yes Jen - I've discussed with the instructor about holding the class again, probably later in fall when people don't mind being indoors. I'm sure he'd be willing to teach in the airport area as well - maybe even before fall. He'll return from a missions trip later this summer - I don't know the exact date though. He sees this class as his ministry - so he'd be happy to teach wherever we set it up . A building is half the battle - so if your church is willing to host - then yay! An the airport area is an easy drive - and the class is worth it for sure.
