RAHS Board Election - Candidates
At the May meeting we will be voting in our new board members.
Our open positions and candidates are:
President-Elect: Jennifer Janes
Treasurer: Joy Murphey
Resource Admin: Cheryl Asplin
Public Relations Admin: Heather Zahurence
Mostly likely, this date will also be our book sale (more info to come) - so whether we are inside or out, be sure you receive a ballot and vote.
Update on the board positions -
This year has been an odd year with a few board members needing to step down out of their positions, for good reasons. When there is an open board position the president is to appoint someone, with board approval to fill the remainder of that term.
Our current President-Elect, who will serve as President in fall stepped down. Katie Lang has wonderfully agreed to serve as President again this coming year. For those of you who are new, Katie Lang was President last year and did a wonderful job. I'm excited for what she'll have planned for next year.
Our Website Admin also had to step down - Allie Brandon agreed to step into that role. She has previous website experience, is eager to help, and in chatting with her I think she'll be the perfect person for that spot.
Jennifer Janes, she's just so thoughtful, saw the work it was to fill those positions, in addition to the current out-going board positions and raised her hand to serve as President-Elect next year. Her term as President will be the following school year, '23-'24. She currently serves as Secretary. However, we are not allowed to hold two board positions concurrently. Her last year of Secretary (expiring Spring'23) will still need to be filled.
